Senior Java Developer

What you'll do
You will be a key member of an inclusive agile squad contributing to the ongoing development of our flagship product Strata, used by insurance brokers, third parties and directly by the public. We’re passionate about agile, and release on a continuous delivery cycle giving you every opportunity to work in an intellectually stimulating environment. Working closely with Product Managers, you will implement user stories using your code craftsmanship skills. Helping you develop your craft and pass on these skills is equally important to us. We are constantly investing in technology and are creating rapid and safe automated deployments into our data centres and the cloud.
Just like us, you will be passionate about continuously improving software development processes, driving architectural design discussions and coaching/mentoring developers at any level. What you’ll have
To be successful in this role we need you to be able to fuse your technical aptitude with a product focus approach. You'll need to have led projects and be experienced in coaching and educating colleagues with their technical and non-technical skills. We'll expect you to have a strong understanding of Java development using object oriented design techniques and to be comfortable communicating system design and architecture to stakeholders at all levels. You'll need to have experience in the following technologies, but not limited to
- Java 7/8
- Spring 4
- Agile methodologies, TDD, pair and/or Mob programming
